Temporary work space can cause havoc! But it does not have to take over your day! If you know that you want to be able to manage your new short-term work space in the right way, read on.
Be Safe In Your Temporary Work Space!
To start with, on any temporary working site, you’ll want to make sure that you have the right health and safety precautions in place. If this isn’t your usual place of work, you’ll want to carry out a risk assessment. Or, if it’s something like a construction site, you’ll need to have a H&S plan for the duration of the project.
Have A Plan
Next up, you’re going to make sure that you have some kind of plan in place too! You know that this is just a temporary work space – but for how long. Are you looking for something permanent or are you doing this as a contract? Knowing the specifics will help you to manage everything more efficiently.
Provide For Your People
Finally, you then need to make sure that you’re able to provide for your people too. When it comes to HSE law, you will find that you need to have a minimum of one portable chemical toilet per seven people that you have working a 40-hour week. You can find out more about that in the infographic below. But not only that, you may want to provide running water and refreshments too, so work out how you can bring those of these to your temporary space.
